How should Surefire Rodent Bait Stations be used;

Indoors, place bait Surefire Rodent Bait Stations as you would rodent traps: along runways leading to a food source, next to walls, behind objects, in corners, and where there are rodent signs. Place the long side of the station (without entrances) flush against the wall with openings facing out. For rodents in rooves, secure bait stations to higher runways such as pipes, beams, or ledges. For rats, place bait stations every 4.5-9 m apart, depending on pest levels; for mice, every 2.8-4 m.

Overlooking stations with bait could make the rodents wary; follow label directions. It may take days for shy rats to enter newly placed stations. Be patient. Check bait stations and replace bait according to label and manufacturer’s directions.

      Hi Roger, sorry to hear you had issues opening the Bait Station. This is not feedback we receive, especially with the Surefire Bait Stations. In the near future we will have an instructional video with the listing to show people how the stations can be unlocked.

  • Place rodent bait in the bait station and observe bait take.
  • Replace baits that become more than 50% eaten to minimise the chance of blocks being removed from mouse bait stations.

Questions and answers from customers

    I don't understand what the soft plastic wrap is for and where I should place it in the trap.

    The soft plastic (an invoice-enclosed freight envelope rolled up) you would have found wrapped around the metal rods inside the bait station is packaging used to keep rods together in transit.

Tips For Use

Tips:

  • Choose the right product for the job and seek advice if required.
  • Anticipate the problem rather than react to it.
  • Expose all of the pests to the control measure simultaneously and remove all other food options if possible.
  • Follow label directions. This will improve results and minimise the risk to non-target animals.
  • Replenish baits when consumed by pests and offer a generous amount of bait.
  • Manage pest immigration by establishing and maintaining control buffer zones.
  • Use mouse bait stations to ensure mouse bait remains fresh and dry, plus prevents access by non-target species.
